Meta-regressions revealed longer interventions were associated with increased KFM (β=0.02), and higher walking frequency with increased gait speed (β=0.37). No other parameters were associated with biomechanical outcomes.

Parents assessed toe walking frequency using a 6-point scale, while children wore NURVV/RUN insoles for 8 hours/day over 7 days. Insole sensors recorded foot strike patterns (rearfoot, midfoot, and forefoot), which were classified using the same severity scale.

Background: Walkable neighborhoods are closely related to an increase in walking frequency and the strengthening of social cohesion. These factors, in turn, contribute to lower BMI and other positive health-related outcomes.

Chronic diseases negatively impacted walking frequency (AOR = 0.57; 95 % CI: 0.34-0.95; P = 0.031). Furthermore, males were likelier to engage in high-intensity activities compared to females (AOR = 1.61; 95 % CI: 1.04-2.50; P = 0.033).

Multivariable linear regression analyses compared children's weekly walking frequency and daily TV viewing hours by parenting practices in the three groups....Less frequent PA-supportive parenting practices and SA ethnicity were associated with lower walking frequency at 24 and 36 months of age among children (p < 0.01).

Although walking and social support relate to healthy function of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) in later life, it is unclear whether age groups moderate the relationships of walking frequency and social support with ANS function....Results of multiple regression analysis indicated that walking frequency and social support correlated positively with ANS function. The correlation between walking frequency and ANS function was moderated by age groups, but that between social support and ANS function was not.
