This study evaluates patient satisfaction and the feasibility of a lung transplant telemedicine program using a multidimensional, patient-centered survey. Methods: We conducted an observational study at the University of Maryland Lung Transplant Center between March and November 2020....A customized telemedicine satisfaction survey, developed with expert and patient input, was distributed via e-mail to lung transplant recipients, with a follow-up 6 months later. Key domains included quality of care, technology usability, cost burden, and overall experience....In the initial and follow-up surveys, 94% and 89% rated telemedicine care as "very good" or "excellent." Technology usability was high, with 96% and 94% reporting good understanding. Most patients (90% initially, 84% at follow-up) noted decreased travel costs....Future research should validate telemedicine satisfaction tools across multiple centers and assess its impact on clinical outcomes in transplant populations.

Characterizing these patterns is essential for guiding clinical operations and long-term integration of telemedicine into surgical oncology practice....Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study across nine oncology subspecialties at Stanford Medicine's ambulatory surgical oncology clinics from January 2019 to December 2023 to compare yearly visit volumes and telemedicine use....We measured overall visit volumes, telemedicine utilization, and their association with increase in unique patients served, including both new and return visits....Conclusions: At this academic medical center, telemedicine use is associated with an expansion of the clinician workforce, an increase in patient volume, and more return visits rather than new visits, without contributing to overall higher healthcare utilization....This suggests that telemedicine can deliver a significant proportion of ambulatory surgical oncological visits while preserving access to care and operational efficiency. © 2025. Introduction: While telemedicine contraceptive counselling may enhance access and uptake, particularly in low-resource settings, the evidence for its acceptability as an alternative to in-person counselling remains limited.

The telemedicine platform that was used in the project and then further developed on the basis of additional needs was able to meet the technical requirements. This development demonstrated that cross-indication telemonitoring is technically and procedurally feasible.
