The findings revealed that anxiety scores in the exercise intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group [SMD = -0.39, 95 % CI (-0.55, -0.23), P < 0.001], and depression scores also showed a significant reduction [SMD = -0.33, 95 % CI (-0.44, -0.21), P < 0.001].

A key unanswered question is whether a long-term, high-intensity aerobic exercise intervention initiated in a cohort of previously inactive older individuals at genetic risk for AD has neuroprotective properties....Design: CYCLE-AD is a randomized, single-blind, single-center, controlled trial of a home-based, high-intensity exercise intervention involving 150 older ε4 carriers (ages 65-80 years) who are healthy, cognitively unimpaired, and physically inactive....Conclusion: Successful demonstration of a scalable, home-based, high-intensity aerobic exercise intervention in altering the trajectory of AD pathophysiology and its effects on cognitive functioning will transform AD treatment, improve patient outcomes and quality of life, and reduce

By combing the research progress of GM-mediated exercise intervention for CVD, it was found that 1) Streptococcus, Lactococcus, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, and Turicibacter are pathogenic bacteria in CVD patients; 2) Response to exercise to modulate the microbiota of CVD includes increasing the abundance

Objective: To systematically evaluate the effect of exercise intervention and its components on repetitive stereotyped behaviors in patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)....The meta-analysis results showed that exercise intervention had a positive effect on repetitive stereotyped behaviors in patients with ASD (SMD = -0.37, 95% CI: -0.52, -0.21, p < 0.05)....The components of exercise intervention show a dose-response effect, with the best results likely occurring from ball sports, medium to long durations, moderate to high frequency, longer time, and group participation.

We evaluated the long-term effects 4 years after a worksite exercise intervention among female hospital employees. In 2011, 107 female hospital employees were randomized into the two exercise groups, football and Zumba, offered 1-2 exercise sessions over 40 weeks, and a control group....Our study indicates that a worksite exercise intervention has long-term beneficial effects on aerobic fitness, exercise capacity, and job satisfaction, although it might have side effects of higher work-related physical exhaustion and stress....These findings provide valuable insight into the long-term health effects of a worksite physical exercise intervention under real-world conditions without continued project support.

Due to the lack of a systematic review of the effects of exercise intervention on the body shape of obese college students, this study aims to systematically evaluate the effects of exercise intervention on the body shape of obese college students, to provide a reference for the development of an effective...exercise intervention program for the group of obese college students....Meta-analysis showed that exercise intervention had a statistically significant effect on obese college students' BMI [SMD = -0.42, 95% CI (-0.80, -0.04), p = 0.03], waist circumference [SMD = -0.61, 95% CI (-1.04, -0.18), p = 0.005] and hip circumference [SMD = -0.72, 95% CI (-1.40, -0.04), p = 0.04

Objective: Quantitative evaluation of the effect of exercise intervention in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)....Methods: The CNKI, WOS, PubMed, and Scopus databases were searched by computer, and randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of exercise intervention in ALS were screened out according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the PICOS principle....Meta-analysis results show that exercise intervention can significantly improve the overall function, walking test (WT) distance and maximum expiratory pressure (MEP) of ALS patients (p < 0.05).
